6) No Commute. Actually, you might have a commute – from your bedroom to your home office (which may even be in your bedroom!). The average working person wastes just about 10% of their week getting to and from work. What could you do with that extra time? Spend time with your kids, make a life long dream come true, exercise, learn a new language.what would you do?
Take a look at your own behavior because people who are getting the results you are striving for are not offended. Let me use a very strong example. People who lie, cheat, or steal will get offended when people talk about lying, cheating or stealing, how dare someone talk to them like that!
When I first started my home business it was easy to become distracted by things that need to be done around the house: laundry, dirty dishes, mowing the yard, etc. It is very important to treat the home business like a regular job and in reality it is a regular job, it just happens to be in the home. If you were working for someone else they would not tolerate you going home to clean dishes or mow the yard, so to be a disciplined home business boss and do not allow yourself to do things other than working on your home business.
Someday, you are going to realize that all that money your regular job pays you may not really be enough. Not enough to pay for the medical expenses to treat your ailments or other medical conditions to resuscitate you week after week of grueling in your dead end job. Not enough to buy you the freedom to spend quality time with your family and no work-life balance. Not enough to achieve your dreams and feel really happy in life. Hopefully this day will come sooner. You really ought to know that at some point in your life you must, at any cost – Fire your boss! and begin to take charge of your own life. Yes, you have to!
2) Create wealth for yourself, not your employer Your employer makes more money off you than what your employer pays you. That is called profit (your employer’s profit). If this does not describe your current work situation then either A). You work for a non-profit company, B). Your employer is about to fire you, or C). Your company is going out of business. In today’s economic condition many people are facing either an or B. Food for thought!!!
Effort is definitely one thing that separates the winners from the losers. Plan on working as hard or harder than you ever have in your life to make this kind of money. I have found it’s never as easy as it sounds and many people give up before they ever hit their goals.
You will need to have absolute independence. There will not be anyone around to help with making decisions, or someone to clear up any messes that occur. You will have to clean up everything, and make all your own decisions. There will not be anyone to help with the responsibility.
