One week of guidance
Are you planning to implement a new application or want to replace the UI layer of an existing application as it is terribly slow and out dated? And are unsure about the technology choice as you don't want to change the technology two years later again?
We know that decisions like this are difficult ones and our experience is that 90% of these decisions are the wrong ones. The reason for this: lack of knowledge about the current framework jungle and blending by hypes and standards. It is easy to jump on a framework which is currently hyped - but this does not mean that this framework is best choice for your requirements!
But this lack of knowledge is totally normal - it's just that you have to be aware of this! Usually we compare building applications to building houses, the UI layer is the roof for example. Our question: do you decide about the trusses and roof tiles on your own or do you seek for experts help?
The same refers to application. That's the reason we have created three packages for you which can be ordred separately. The idea behind the packages: share our experience and knowledge with you and help you to find the best technology/framework for you application! Either by presenting about current UI streams and corresponding frameworks in the market or building you application - together with you and your engineers!
Discovery Workshop
You just want to get the big picture? You want to get an overview what's currently happening in the space of UI development? And you want to check which direction you should follow based ob your requirements for the UI layer? These are the major questions which will be answered in a Discovery Workshop. You simply have to send us a quick description on what you are planing to do and one of our experts will drop in for three hours and chalk out possible solutions for these requirements - this is not limited to Rich Client technology "only", we have as well heavy Ajax experience that's the reason we can chalk out the really big picture.
We charge 800 SFr (533€/678$), for a so called Discovery Workshop including taxes but excluding travel cost, as the workshop will be held on the customer side.

Power Day
If you have already decided about a possible framework candidate for your UI layer, for example based on a Discovery Workshop, the next step would be to see the technology in action. We will get out to you for one day and build first screens based on your requirements. These screens will help you to have something which can be presented to the business who will use the application later on, for example. Or these screens can be used to give a presentation to the management about the importance of your project and the budget assigned with it. As you know, a working mockup/prototype says more than 1000 slides and is kind of shoulder view for you whether you are on the right track with your technology choice.
Charges for a Power Day are 1600 SFr (1050€/1350$) including taxes but excluding travel cost. Contact us via mail or give us a call - looking forward to preparee excellent screens with you based on Ajax or Rich Client technology!
Power Camp
So we have a framework candidate you want to use for your project? But your team never worked with the frameworks and needs a little ramp up? No proplem, we will get out to you for one week and help you with the framework setup and environment configuration and of course we will start building the app. A Power Camp is more than UI only, we will start connecting your backend system and after one week your team will be able to drive the development process on their own. Of course (in case you are planing a complex application) the application will not be finished after one week - but your team will know how to use the UI framework and you will not have these "project-default-three-weeks-setup-phase" before you actually come to the point of seeing first screens.
Charges for a Power Camp are 6000 SFr (4000€/5050$) including taxes but excluding hotel and travel. Power Camps should be discussed and prepared at least one month before the Camp starts - of course we can not offer Power Camps for any technology, that would be a common consulting lie, so we should check whether your technology is in our technology protfolio.
